I love to make and eat Potato Flatbreads. It is a proper meal and is relatively easy to make with an approximate preparing time of 20 minutes. These Potato Flatbreads are always a good choice for day trips. Camp at the countryside, explore the beauty and eat the potato flatbreads in your lunch, you are going to love it.
I am very much attracted to nature and that is why I love to go outside to spend some valuable moments with friends and family. Last weekend, I and 3 of my friends decided to go to the Cumberland Gap in the Cumberland Mountain region. We selected Cumberland Gap for camping as it was located near to our houses. We explored most part of the region and cooked potato flatbreads for lunch.
Recipe for Making Potato Flatbreads
- Mashed potatoes – 1 ½ cup (Approx: 3-4 potatoes)
- Wheat flour – 2 ½ cups
- Salt – 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil – 2 tablespoon
- Fresh ginger – ½ tablespoon
- Cilantro (minced) – 2 tablespoons
- Jalapeno (minced) – 1 piece
- Paprika – 1 teaspoon
- Pepper – ¼ teaspoon
- Water – 1 cup
Take a bowl and add flour, salt, pepper and paprika into it. Mix these ingredients and then add mashed potatoes, cilantro, ginger, oil and ¼ cup of water into the bowl. Thoroughly mix all these ingredients but do keep in mind that the dough must be kept in a semi-firm condition.
Divide the dough into 6 to 8 pieces and then roll them into a flat shape with the help of a rolling pin. Take the frying pan, cook each side of the flatbread for about 1 minute or so and then serve it with sausages.
